Day Trip - Take 2

Salamualaikum one and all....

Our apologies for being out of touch for so long.  It was not our intention tokeep quite but unforseen circumstances did arise.  Never matter though because we are here to announce our next day trip. Now last time we had a trip for the biggies out there so this time, we arranged a trip for the little kiddies.  If you look on the site you will see the new album for the trip to the Scienceworks.  Please on our behalf, spread the word so we can get a full turnout inshaAllah.  We are looking for children aged between 7-14 years old, so if you have a younger brother or sister, convince them to come, it should be a rather exciting day inshaAllah.

I'd love to sit and write more but unfortunatly, the clock is a ticking and there's plenty to get done prior to saturday.  Hope to see you all there... well your siblings anyways.
Salams

Philip Island Day Trip

Salamualaiukum one and all... In speaking with the youth community in melbourne, Futuwwah received many comments about their activities and the activities that were organized, but the one thing that topped all the comments was "The site has not been updated in a very VERY long time..." Sooo the Futuwwah committee sat down and said "you know what, they are right" So we decided to ACTUALLY do something about it!!! Thats what this post is about, to tell you, all of you, that by the grace and permission of Allah SWT, our creator, we are back in action, and to prove that were not just speaking hot air, we decided to organize a day trip to Philip Island on the 5th of January. Not long off I know, but we ourselves were a bit short on time with a few things. You will find on this spaces site the poster and the concent form for the day trip. All participants MUST complete the concent form and present it either on the day of the trip or before to one of the Futuwwah 08 committee members. There are 2 contact names on the poster, if you have any question, or if any parents have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact one of the mentioned persons. Well enough out of me, no point in sitting and talking, time to go do something in prep for the day trip. Hope to see you all there. Salamualaikum.

True Blue,

As was requested by our moderator, you were asked to email us at ymafutuwwah@hotmail.com if you wanted to discuss this matter further. You are also welcome to come to the Coburg Islamic Centre for an open discussion about any issues that you may have regarding Islam, Muslims or any other issue which may be bothering you.

In regards to ‘shari’a’, please do not be frightened, but let me tell it to you this way, a Muslim can live the shari’a in their own lives, without having it in the law of the state. I hope that this dispels any negative thoughts which you may be having based on what you’ve heard about the ‘Shari’a’.

Finally, in Islam, there is no compulsion in religion, so no one would be forcing anyone to be walking around in Hijabs or beards (especially not for non-Muslims). If you cite Muslim nations as examples of ‘shari’a’ being implemented today, then I can tell you that this is not true, and that ‘shari’a’ is not being implemented, because firstly – you cannot have any ‘kings’ in Islam, as God is the One and Only King! Next the laws relating to punishment (similar to our justice system here in Australia) can only be operational when the society has no beggars, no poor people. Again this is not the case for many of the Muslim nations – such as Saudi etc – and yet certain punishments are being given which go against the Prophetic law.

Again to re-iterate, if you truly wish to discuss this matter in detail, you are free to come by and meet us, me, or any of the other brothers for a chat.

Please feel free.

Regards

Well again you never answed me in regards to your YMA when I asked  if I came down as a none Muslim would I be welcome in? So the answer would be no I am not welcome as it only for your People only not out siders So every thing I have written on my site is 100% true I guess if you all had your way and got into power tomorrow you would like to have the Shariah Law in Australia as we the west do not dress or behave the way your" young man do"  and then use the power under the Quran for our woman to walk around wearing the hajib.

I never said all Muslims did not mix as there are some Muslims who are very good people I never said all if you go over you will see what i said most and what I said is a fact that not all will mix. You have YMA tell me if I came down as a none Muslim would I be welcome? And again you say you are a Muslim Aussie Like I am and again I say there is no such thing as a Muslim Australian we are ether Lebanese Australians English Australian Israel Australian, and so not Christian, Jew or Muslim Australian. Now as for your comment you about me that it is out of fear well yes you are right it is and this is how a lot of people are feeling now as well and please note I said most not all.

Like you my family and I do not drink alcohol or take drugs as well. But that’s not what I said or was talking about drinking this is not About  you say from a few differences as such, we all have values very similar to the Aussie way of life, such as mate ship, family .... But I ask you as an Australian where do you stand because remember I am a infidel a non believer, so if we were to be called to war today and I had to fight beside you where would you be one with me our against me and I mean no matter what race or religion we are where do you stand with me or against?

I say this as the feed back I get the feeling the same not just me I am just bold enough to ask and have a say. You never answered my question in how do you and your youths at the YMA feel towards as you would say Australia Christians, Australian Jews in Australia? Now about your comment on rape yes there are plenty of people who do this for gratification and some call or women a meet Market and use Islam to justify this by saying it Because of how they dress. Well here in the west we do not dress like this and all Muslims in this country will need to except this.

As for the comment you made in regards about how the Aborigines feel when they had an influx of Anglo Saxons in there land well I have my own opinion on this but will not comment on this as I am not going to play this old card again over and over by Emigrants who come to my home and refuse to mix with my family Australia here this is the only card immigrants to use but this was not over 200 years ago but my family did came as migrants to this land like you and we learned to follow the customs of the land not use the white race card . Both my grand parents like you kept there culture and mixed in very well in to Australian life worked and fort and died in both world wars for this land to keep it free they did not come here and forced what they believed on others. I take it you are a Sunni Muslim and as the 9 / 11 2001 Bali bombings were of Sunni Belief. In the same way Sudam in Iraq was killing all the Shites in

As regards Iraq, you say 1 million plus people have been killed due to war. Where is this all going?  Well I like alot of others never agreed to what has happened and you can not just blame the U.S.A or your new Country Australia for the 1000,000 killed both Muslims as well from the Sunni and Shiites religions are killing as one want to rule and have there Islamic State in Iraq because they have deferent’s after the prophet Mohamed died and it is still going on. So I think this will be a very long time now before we ever will see peace in the Med east due to what happened as it is now unstable for all and it may even take another world war for this I take it you are of Lebanese back ground and you or your family Fled sth of Lebanon when Israel invaded your home land. So you came here the land of free you say its fear then show us you are not to be afraid of you because when we here jihads see 9/ 11 / 2001 then rape by the Muslim youth in the land of mine due to racism then we have a problem

Thank you True Blue for your comments,

Remember tht there are only 400,000 thousand adherants of the Islamic faith in Australia. It is incorrect to say that 'we; do not mix or interact with the general population. I know plenty of Asutralian Muslims who are interacting exceptionally well with the population at large. Many Muslim Aussies are in university and some are even lecturer's, doctors, engineer's, pathologists, etc etc. This all requires interaction.
I feel that the issue is one of fear. How did the Aboriginess feel when they had an influx of Anglo Saxons? Perhaps they had no choice - yet Muslim Aussies are a part of this nations bedrock, being involved in every facet of Australian life. Yes we do not drink alcohol (not meant to anyway), nor do we indulge in girlfriend/boyfriend behaviour, but apart from a few differences as such, we all have values very similar to the Aussie way of life, such as mateship, family, respecting parents, giving in charity, looking after the frail and the elderly.
That said, like every community, we have our challenges also. Why make a big point about the Cronulla issue, when every day in the news we read and hear of individuals who commit rape, cut off other peoples heads (two youths both anglo in Brisbane a while ago), you name it, the list goes on. To bring all the nations problems down to the Muslims is a tad bit over exaggerated wouldn't you say?
As regards Iraq, so far 1 million plus people have been killed due to war. Where is this all going? We need not get into semantics, or debates, when the lives of mankind are being taken away without any purpose.

If you would like to discuss this further, please email us at ymafutuwwah@hotmail.com

Thank you once more for your courage in speaking up - as we believe that communication is the key to building peaceful and harmonious communities.
